My name is Alyssa “Rae” and I’ve been at NY Jungle Tappan since 2011. To say that I love my craft would be an understatement! I take every client on as a new project, working to balance their own vision with mine.

 

I started at NYJ as an assistant; however, I soon decided to attend the Arrojo cosmetology school in NYC and since graduating, have grown to a full-time stylist at NYJ. Since becoming a stylist, I have enjoyed immersing myself in the hair industry. I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to work with Maria on the set of a movie styling hair. Additionally, I worked as a stylist for fashion editorial shoots, including one for Condé Nast.

My style of work varies from funky bright colors to glamorous retro waves. Most importantly, I love creating customized looks to reflect my clients vibe and lifestyle. By far the most satisfying thing to me is when a client leaves feeling more confident in themselves and rocking their new hair.
